ABOUT

LET ME SHOW YOU THE WORLD creates experiences that change the way we see the world and the present bringing us together as human beings.

When we were children, every day seemed filled with the wonder and joy of what we saw and experienced. We discovered the world little by little. It was actually not the world that was new, but our experience of it and the intensity with which we sucked it all in. Clouds, thunder, shadows, snowflakes landing on your hand, were our thrilling experience. As we grow older, we pay less attention to the present and more towards distant goals. The wonder of daily life simply disappears because we think that we have seen it all before.

Think of a child's excitement and intuitive wonder at the immediate world around them. LET ME SHOW YOU THE WORLD invites us to see the small and large universes around us with new eyes. Put on a moustache, for example, and a group of spectators, who were once strangers to each other, reemerge as a community of circus directors in the performance event Moustache at Circus Hein.

First comes the idea and the invite. Then the experience is created.

YOGA

Start your day with revitalizing YOGA sessions led by Annette Söhnlein. Each morning practice combines strong dynamic movements to ignite fire and warmth within, and softer restorative poses to invite a full release of body and mind. These sessions aim to balance and center you, setting the tone for the rest of the day's activities.

After our morning yoga practice, you will enjoy nourishing refreshments. There is time to relax and prepare for the day's artistic activities.

WORKSHOPS

CYANOTYPE with Fredrik Clement

Fredrik Clement, a renowned photographer, will guide you through the creative process of cyanotype. This old analogue process, involves developing images through exposure to natural light. You'll create your own beautiful Persian blue pieces of art using materials collected from nature, forming shapes and patterns that tell your personal story.

FLORAL GRAFFITI with Eske Touborg

Eske Touborg, an artist known for his graffiti and street art, will lead the "Floral Forming" workshop. Together, participants will gather flowers and use them to create a large wooden graffiti sculpture. Inspired by the colors and shapes found in nature, you will paint and shape the sculpture in a collaborative and creative process.

FLORAL ART with Poppykalas

Thilde Maria Haukohl Kristensen, known as Poppykalas, is an internationally recognized floral designer and visual artist. In the wild nature of Thy we will tune into the seasonal wild flowers growing around us. On a soft flower treasure walk you will slowly open all your senses and listen to the flowers calling out your name. Gently guided by Thilde you will learn how to create a floral arrangement with your flowers inspired by the Japanese tradition of Ikebana.

PLANT DYEING with Benthe Boesen & Troels Schwarz from Slow Works

Fashion designer Benthe Boesen & graphic designer Troels Schwarz of Slow Works will introduce you to the magical world of plant dyes. In this workshop, you'll learn which materials are suitable for plant dyeing and how to create patterns using the bundle dye method. You'll end up with your very own personalized silk scarf. The workshop begins with a brief introduction to plant dyeing and Slow Works' philosophy, followed by hands-on practice with basic plant dyeing techniques and experimentation with various fabric samples.

YOGA & ART RETREAT

taste your intuition

31. August - 2. September 2023
Denmark Klitmøller

Our daily life is characterized by organizing and planning. We love to know everything in advance, even if we can never be sure what the future holds for us. We tried to guide us back to our intuition, the wisdom that lies behind our knowledge.

Three playfully days to unfold ourself, our senses and our potential. Things happened that we couldn't see.

We have been in movement & stillness with Annette Söhnlein, immersed into art & nature with Slow Works, Fredrik Clement, Annette Balker and Bjørk Buck and tasted natural cuisine by Sugio Yamaguchi.

You can't have a rainbow without a litte rain

The taste of Studio Jeppe Hein

YOU CAN'T HAVE A RAINBOW WITHOUT A LITTLE RAIN The taste of Studio Jeppe Hein is not a typical cookbook, just as it isn’t merely an art book.

Besides recipes from the studio kitchen, it provides an exclusive insight into the studio and the art that is created there. Images of artworks, studio life and exhibition projects mingle with images of ingredients, the roof garden, the kitchen and shared lunches. Artists Sophie Kitching, Jose Dávila, Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen and Anselm Reyle each hosted a rainbow dinner. Author and philosopher Finn Janning contributes with a Philosophy of the Saucepan.

The book illustrates our great passion for art and cooking and how important eating together is to us in our life and work.

You can purchase it at Buchhandlung Walther und Franz König.

LOOK UP Aya AND YOU CAN REACH FOR THE STARS

This enchanting volume by an artist couple who are also parents tells a very touching rite of passage story. Jeppe Hein and his wife Silke have teamed up to create a very special kind of picture book. It tells of the multifaceted experiences of the caterpillar Aya and its metamorphosis into a no less multifaceted radiant butterfly. The illustrations bring the story to life: Jeppe Hein's watercolor drawings are congenially and sensitively enhanced by Silke Hein's collages. Areas of color and texture of almost magical depth are created. There is no question that this attractive work is not only just for kids. Images of such sophisticated colorfulness will captivate viewers of all ages and lend wings to their own flights of fancy.

The book is available in English, German and Danish.

SILKE and JEPPE HEIN have four children together. This first picture book by the artist couple arose from their experiences as a family. At the same time, it is an amalgamation of Jeppe's watercolors and Silke's collages.
